AMENITIES & ACCESSIBILITY

  • There is an accessible parking place located across the street from the front entrance on 1st Street.

  • Free parking is available in the garage beneath the Museum. The garage entrance is located behind the Museum on Second Street.

  • The facility is wheelchair accessible with a ramp entrance and automated doors. An elevator is available in the back of the building to visit the second floor galleries.

  • A wheelchair is available for visitors if requested at the Docent Desk upon arrival.

  • Limited seating is provided throughout the galleries.

  • Restrooms are available on both floors of the museum. Changing tables are available in both of the restrooms on the second floor. An all-gender restroom is available on the first floor of the Museum. There are water cups available in some restrooms.

  • Large print formatted artist statements are available in English and Spanish at the Docent Desk for the downstairs gallery.

  • There is an art studio with a simple project available for visitors, as long as the space is not being used for a tour or workshop.

  • The galleries are air conditioned.

  • There is directional signage in English, Spanish, and Lushootseed throughout the museum. Click here for more information, including translator bios and Lushootseed pronunciations.

  • Pets are not permitted in the museum, with the exception of service animals.

TIPS TO ENJOY YOUR VISIT

  • Check the calendar to see if any events are scheduled that you may want to participate in.

  • There will always be a knowledgeable docent to welcome you and to learn from.

  • Docent-led tours occur on the second Saturday of each month from 11:00-11:45am

  • MoNA offers guided tours for adult groups as well as tours for school and youth groups, which must be scheduled at least two months in advance. Please first review the guidelines and then request a tour here.
