Making a bequest is the most common way of providing an estate gift to MoNA.
Types of Bequests
Percentage Bequest-you designate a percentage of your estate to MoNA
Specific Bequest-you designate a specific dollar amount to MoNA
Residual Bequest-the remainder of your estate is designated to MoNA after any other
bequests and debts are paid.
Here is some suggested wording:
To donate funds: “I give to the Museum of Northwest Art, currently located at 121 S. 1st St., La
Conner, Washington, the sum of (insert a dollar amount or percentage).”To donate specific property such as securities or works of art: “I give to the Museum of
Northwest Art, currently located at 121 S. 1st St., La Conner, Washington, (insert here a
description of the gift or gifts).”
