Illuminating Skagit
This exhibit is designed to take you on a luminous journey throughout the Skagit watershed (all the land that drains into the Skagit River). Start at the mountain peaks of the North Cascades (on the opposite wall) and head downriver, which leads to the Salish Sea (where you’ll find the eelgrass). Along the way, explore luminous examples of our watershed’s wildlife and habitats. Some of these wildlife and habitats could use your help. Read the text to learn what you can do to protect them! If you liked this exhibit, you’ll love the annual Illuminight Winter Walk in downtown Mount Vernon. Learn more about this event.
Iluminando a Skagit
The Outside In Gallery is made possible through generous grants from the Skagit Community Foundation and US Bank.
