This event kicked off poetry month and celebrated two of our exhibitions: Silva Cascadia: Under the Spell of the Forest & My Roots: Honoring the cultural identity of Skagit Valley’s under-resourced children. DJ Lee, Michael Daley, Natalie Lahr, Randy Dills, Jane Alynn, Adam Lafayette, Solstice Black, S. Salazar, Stephen Roxborough, and Jodie Buller read original works on the theme of “roots.” Click here to read the poet bios. The event was MC’ed by painter and poet Duane Kirby Jensen, the host of Everett Poetry Night and featured an Open Mic portion and book signing.
This event was made possible by MoNA Members.
