Artists and Scientist are welcome to join the Museum this Saturday, January 21, from 1pm - 3pm for the Artist and Scientist Meet & Greet, Presentation on Climate Change in preparation for the fall 2023 exhibition Surge: Mapping Transition, Displacement, and Agency in Times of Climate Change.
After five years, in partnership with the Skagit Climate Science Consortium, the Museum is excited to bring back Surge, which draws attention to climate change and its tangible effects on the Northwest's Coastal communities. It will be on view from October 14, 2023 - February 17, 2014.
Saturday's event will be an opportunity to create synergies between scientists from the Skagit Climate Change Consortium and artists to spark collaborations culminating in projects that will be presented to the public during Surge, bringing new perspectives on flooding, storm surge, coastal erosion, and glacier retreat issues.
We hope you can join us!
