Store Pop-Up
The MoNA Store invites you to a spring pop-up showcasing Northwest artists! Join Adriana Mannion and Katrina Hude on Saturday, April 27 from 11am - 4pm to discuss their art.
Adriana Mannion is a self-taught artist with paper filigree jewelry and hand painted 3-D artwork. Katrina Hude is a glassmaker since 1990. Glass facilitates what her interests are and leads people to dialogue.

Luminary Globe Workshop
This workshop is FULL! Please email education@museumofnwart.org to be added to the wait list.
Cost: Free
Ages: 8 and up
In this workshop you will design and decorate a pre-made luminary globe. Luminary globes are the round paper lanterns you will often see decorated for the Illuminight winter walk event in downtown Mount Vernon each January.
Luminaries are decorated with bright colored tissue paper and are designed to show the beauty of the watershed and community here in Skagit County. Holli Watne from the Skagit Watershed Council will be at the workshop with MoNA Education Staff to teach about our local ecology and help inspire your design concept.
Due to limited space, please register in advance.
After completing your registration, a MoNA Education Staff member will follow up with you to confirm the time of your work time in the studio. Please contact education@museumofnwart.org with any questions.

The Collectors Club Presents Unveiling The One
Come and celebrate the artists and the museum's Permanent Collection at this exciting moment in MoNA's history!
On 11.11, the Museum of Northwest Art invites you to join MoNA’s Collectors Club as we unveil and acquire a work of art for the museum’s Permanent Collection. We will celebrate five contemporary Northwest Artists: Granite Calimpong, Dan Friday, Hart James, Margie Livingston, Ko Kirk Yamahira and their contributions to the artistic landscape. Only one work will be acquired for the collection! All the works put forth by the museum will be exhibited at MoNA in 2024.

Government & Resiliency Panel
Join us for a panel that engages the public and a variety of key players in a moderated discussion about how our local governmental organizations are responding to climate change.

MoNA Link Fall Training
Earn up to seven clock hours while you explore resources to help teach OSPI Since Time Immemorial Curriculum, as well as lessons connected to the carbon cycle, photosynthesis, and recycling. The training will also include a drawing workshop led by Natalie Niblack, a featured artist in Surge Exhibition, and will focus on drawing birds while learning techniques
to assist with drawing in the classroom. This training is free for teachers enrolled in our MoNA Link cohort and $100 for any other educator to enroll! The MoNA Link program is a partnership between MoNA and local school districts. It is a two-year professional development program in art education for teachers and includes art lessons taught in the classroom by a museum educator and museum visits for the students.

Surge Exhibition Opening
In partnership with the Skagit Climate Science Consortium, MoNA re-opens its galleries on Saturday, October 14, with the new exhibition Surge: Mapping Transition, Displacement, and Agency in Times of Climate Change.
