Luminary Globe Workshop

  • Museum of Northwest Art 121 1st Street La Conner, WA, 98257 United States (map)

This workshop is FULL! Please email education@museumofnwart.org to be added to the wait list.

Cost: Free
Ages: 8 and up

In this workshop you will design and decorate a pre-made luminary globe. Luminary globes are the round paper lanterns you will often see decorated for the Illuminight winter walk event in downtown Mount Vernon each January.

Luminaries are decorated with bright colored tissue paper and are designed to show the beauty of the watershed and community here in Skagit County. Holli Watne from the Skagit Watershed Council will be at the workshop with MoNA Education Staff to teach about our local ecology and help inspire your design concept.

Due to limited space, please register in advance.

After completing your registration, a MoNA Education Staff member will follow up with you to confirm the time of your work time in the studio. Please contact education@museumofnwart.org with any questions.
