Onondaga and Mi’kmaq writer, teacher, and mixed media artist Gail Tremblay was born in 1945 in Buffalo, New York. She graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 1967 and received a M.F.A. in Creative Writing from the University of Oregon, Eugene in 1969.
