Education and Collections Committees

Chris Elliott, a painter and jewelry artist, is an artist advocate and committed supporter of related institutions in the Northwest. Since moving to LaConner in 1988, Elliott has served the Museum of Northwest Art as a docent, fundraiser, auction chair, art donor, financial contributor, board member and enthusiastic fan. Additionally, Chris serves on the Education and Collection Committees and embraces MoNA's overall vision of quality, outreach and inclusion of our diverse regional communities. Elliott has served as board member and/or advisor for The Skagit River Poetry Festival, LaConner Institute of Performing Arts, Maple Center Committee, and has hosted numerous fundraising events. Chris was the owner/director of the LaConner Art Workshops for 8 years and was instrumental in creating and curating an annual regional art exhibition for the Art's Alive festival. Elliott has a BFA in Fine Arts from Washington State University, has shown extensively and has studios in LaConner WA and San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.

The Museum of Northwest Art connects people with the art, diverse cultures and environments of the Northwest. 



MoNA collects and exhibits contemporary art from across the Northwest, including Alaska, British Columbia, California, Idaho, Montana, Oregon and Washington.
